Crowns & Bridges
Protecting Your Teeth
A dental crown is a tooth-shaped “cap” that is placed over a tooth — to cover the tooth to restore its shape and size, strength, and improve its appearance. Crowns would be used for preserving a tooth with a large filling or to replace broken, missing tooth structure. The crowns, when cemented into place, fully encase the entire visible portion of a tooth that lies at and above the gum line.
Crowns are typically done after Root Canal Therapy and for Cosmetic procedures. Our crowns are fabricated with Zirconia, a super strong ceramic material that is computer milled.
Replacing Missing Teeth
A fixed bridge is used to replace missing or lost teeth. You may replace 1 tooth or several teeth with a bridge with the only requirements being: a solid tooth on both sides of the space, good bone support for the teeth, and the necessary space for the bite. We offer state-of-the-art materials and you may be a candidate for an all-ceramic bridge. These new materials offer incredible strength as well as being very aesthetic. A common reaction from our patients being, I cannot tell this bridge from my natural teeth.
Missing teeth can cause multiple problems. The most common are: periodontal (gum problems), bite issues, loss of adjacent teeth, tipping of teeth as well a loss of proper function when chewing your food.
